Luke 17:26,27; 1 Peter 4:17,18; Ecclesiastes 12:14
The Lord is calling our attention to the coming judgement of God that will fall upon all sinners and ungodly people. As it happened in the days of Noah, many lived as if God was not in existence. They lived as if all their actions would not be brought into judgement. Though Noah, a preacher of righteousness, preached to them, they did not pay attention to him. The same thing is happening today. Many preachers of righteousness are preaching the sound Word of God, but majority of the people are not paying attention to them and their message. They live as if God will not judge their actions and inaction. There are people hiding in the church, donating large amount of money to the church, even becoming major financial pillars in building large cathedrals, as if that will help them to escape the wrath of God (Chronicles 36:15,16; 2 Peter 3:4,5). Judgement of God is coming upon anyone who rejects the truth and lives as he wishes.
CHARACTERISTICS OF MEN AND WOMEN IN THE DAYS OF NOAH
Genesis 6:1,2,5,11,12; Matthew 24:37-39; 1 Peter 3:20; Romans 1:29-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-7
The horrible sins that were so common in the days of Noah, which drew the wrath and judgement of God, include: (1) Unequal yoke in marriage, (2) Immorality and adultery, (3) Drunkenness, (4) Wickedness, (5) Evil imagination, (6) Corruption, (7) Worldliness, (8) Violence, (9) Ungodliness, (10) Disobedience, (11) Stealing, (12) Drug abuse or addiction, (13) Cultism, (14) Bribery, (15) Dishonesty, (16) Unfaithfulness, (17) Witchcraft and sorcery, (18) Homosexuality and lesbianism, (19) Idol worship, (20) Stubbornness and naughtiness.
Understand, that all these sinful lifestyle mentioned above are also prevalent in our days today. Also, that, it was in such corrupt and evil society that Noah had the grace of God that brought a total change into his life and made him to escape the judgement of God.
CALL TO ALL MEN TO ESCAPE LIKE NOAH
Acts 17:30,31; 1 Peter 4:17-19; 2 Peter 3:9-14; Ecclesiastes 12:1,2,13, 14; John 3:15-20
The Lord is calling all men and women, youths, boys and girls to repent and come to salvation in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour, so that they will be able to escape the coming judgement of God. Anyone that will escape the judgement of God must take the following steps: (1) Realise that you are a sinner. (2) Repent of your sins. (3) Renounce and forsake all your sins. (4) Receive Christ into your heart as your Lord and Saviour. (5) Remain in the fellowship of true believers. (6) Read and study the Bible everyday. (7) Resist temptation. (8) Restitute where necessary. (9) Remove and destroy all satanic properties in your possession (Acts 19:18,19). (10) Refuse and reject anything that will lead you to compromise.
CONVERSION AND PURE LIFE: THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE LIKE NOAH
Genesis 6:8,9,22; 7:1; Hebrews 11:7; 2 Peter 3:5-14; Acts 3:19,26; John 3:3-8; Luke 1:74,75; 1 John 3:3
The Lord Jesus affirmed that except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. A sinner must be born again and be sanctified too. A backslider must repent genuinely and return back unto the Lord if he will escape the coming judgement upon the ungodly. The worldly churchgoers must repent, come into the uncompromising holiness standard of God. The hypocrite must sincerely repent, turn truly unto the Lord and reject every seeming form of hypocrisy. The compromising, careless and complacent churchgoer must wake up unto righteousness, reject every "neither hot nor cold", and, walk firmly in truth and righteousness before God. Everyone who will escape must live a daily life of righteousness and uprightness. God's Word has declared that without holiness no man will see the Lord. The day of the Lord is at the door. He is calling us to escape today. May we heed His call and escape like Noah in Jesus Christ Name
